This course is an interdisciplinary introduction to how intellectuals and artists from the US got involved in the Spanish Civil War, especially the Black community.. It covers a range of topics by examining the Special Collections Archive at Adelphi University which includes films, articles, periodicals, memoirs, and autobiographical sources.
