Parent and Family Association
As a parent or family member of an Adelphi undergraduate student, you’re automatically part of the Parent and Family Association.
Whether you’re attending a signature event, meeting other families at Spirit Weekend or cheering on our Panthers at athletic events, we hope you’ll get involved. It’s a great way to meet our community, contribute to the Adelphi spirit and be involved in your student’s journey.
About the Parent and Family Association (PFA)
Adelphi’s PFA is a community dedicated to keeping your whole family connected, informed, and engaged in our University experience.
Our Goals
- Support and advocate for Adelphi families
- Enhance the student experience through shared knowledge of campus resources
- Strengthen communication between families and the University
Why Get Involved?
- A chance to play a meaningful role in your student’s college experience
- A forum to connect with other parents and share advice
- Opportunities to contribute to Adelphi’s mission and momentum
Two Big Ways to Get Even More Involved
Be part of the PFA Board or the Parent and Family Ambassador Program.
The PFA Board
To play an even more active role in the Adelphi community, join the Parent and Family Association (PFA) Board. You’ll be among dedicated parents, family members and University staff who help build connections, share resources, and support the success of Adelphi students and families.
What the Board Does
The PFA Board serves as a vital bridge between families and the University.
- Support meaningful programs and events for parents and students
- Share insight and resources to enhance the student experience
- Build a welcoming, informed parent and family community
Be on the lookout for messages from the Parents and Families Association about opportunities to attend fun and informational programs and to get more involved. To make sure you’re on our list, please share your interest by emailing us at parents@adelphi.edu.

Parent and Family Ambassador Program
The Parent and Family Ambassador Program is a volunteer initiative that empowers parents and family members of current students and alumni to actively participate in Adelphi University’s community. Ambassadors play a pivotal role in:
- Enhancing Adelphi’s reputation and awareness
- Sharing institutional information with prospective students and their families, both domestically and internationally
- Assisting with recruitment, involvement, retention, and philanthropic opportunities
As an ambassador, you’ll receive tools and skill-building experiences to deepen your knowledge about Adelphi University, including campus resources and top stories. This preparation enables you to mentor other parents and families effectively and support your own Adelphi student.
Program Highlights
- Inclusive Participation: Open to all parents and families, regardless of your location.
- Term Commitment: Ambassadors serve a minimum of a one-year term.
- Orientation and Updates: Participants undergo an initial orientation and receive regular communications and updates.
- Exclusive Perks: Enjoy Adelphi swag, invitations to special events, and other exciting benefits throughout the year.
