Adjunct Professor Thomas Shinick '82, M.B.A. '92, spoke to Newsday about why Long Island’s small businesses should join in on the e-commerce growth.
With online sales expected to skyrocket this holiday season, large retailers like P.C. Richard & Son and Target are prepping for the trend. According to Thomas Shinick ’82, M.B.A. ’92, adjunct professor at Adelphi University’s Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, who spoke to Newsday, Long Island’s small businesses should join in on the e-commerce growth as well.
“They can compete, and they should compete, head-to-head with the same tactics as big-box stores and large companies,” Shinick told Newsday.
