Dear Adelphi Community,

Thank you for your continued help in keeping the Adelphi University community safe. Because of the safety measures in place, we’ve been able to keep our positivity rate below 1 percent.

This is a friendly reminder that you can help protect your safety and the safety of everyone in our community by participating in surveillance COVID-19 testing (ongoing monitoring).

This is one way in which you can Pledge to Protect Adelphi and substantially contribute to our COVID-19 mitigation efforts.

Once selected, you will receive instructions from our Health Services Center on how to complete the FREE testing for COVID-19, made available to you through Vault Health. Upon receiving your surveillance testing notification, you must order your free personal test within 28 to 72 hours.

Please be sure to check your email inbox for any missed messages from the Health Services Center (healthservicescenter@adelphi.edu) and/or Vault Health (hello@updates.vaulthealth.com).

I also recommend that you receive an annual flu vaccine as soon as possible. The flu vaccine is available to our community members through:

  • Appointment only at the Adelphi Health Services Center
  • Walk-in, first come, first served, at the east picnic tables near William J. Bonomo Memorial Field, in partnership with CVS, on Thursday, October 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

For more information about the flu vaccine, please call Health Services at 516.877.6002.

Our public safety and health teams will continue to conduct periodic testing, temperature checks and other symptom screening measures in the weeks ahead as part of our ongoing health monitoring process.

Please remain committed to your health and the safety of our community by wearing your mask, washing your hands and maintaining social distancing whenever possible. Additionally, participate when selected for COVID-19 testing, complete your daily AU2GO health check and be sure to get your flu vaccine.

I appreciate your commitment to keeping yourself and our community safe.

Sincerely,

Nicole Gaudino
Director, Health Services
