Famed educator to lecture at Adelphi on Wednesday, April 2

Dr. Pedro Noguera, the Peter L. Agnew Professor of Education at New York University, will present his lecture, “Challenging Racial Inequality In Our Schools” on Wednesday, April 2, as part of the Ruth S. Ammon Lecture in Education Series. In addition to his duties at NYU, Dr. Noguera is the executive director of the Metropolitan Center for Urban Education and the co-director of the Institute for the Study of Globalization and Education in Metropolitan Settings.

He has published more than 150 articles, monographs and research reports, and is the author of several published books. Dr. Noguera also appears as a regular commentator on educational issues on CNN, MSNBC, National Public Radio and other national news outlets. The lecture will be held in the Thomas Dixon Lovely Ballroom of the Ruth S. Harley University Center, and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
