Dear Adelphi Community,

The scheduled power system work at the Garden City Campus (see below) will require a complete computer shutdown beginning at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5.

In order to avoid issues of lost computer files or hardware failures, we ask all faculty and staff to completely shut down their office computers and peripherals before leaving on Tuesday and that all resident students shut down any plugged-in electronics before 11:00 p.m.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the IT Help Desk at 516.877.3340 or helpdesk@adelphi.edu.

Facilities Announcement

On Tuesday April 5, 2016 at approximately 11:00 p.m. we will be shutting down the power to the ENTIRE campus for about 20-30 minutes. All buildings will be shut off during this period except for a few with back-up generators (CRS, Woodruff, PAC, Waldo, HHE, UC).

We are working with PSEG on this outage and cannot start until they arrive on campus so the start time is an estimate. We will be in constant contact with Public Safety so if anyone has any questions please call the Booth.

This work is a necessary component of the Co-Gen project in Woodruff Hall.

Please remember to shut off all computers and copiers prior to leaving work tomorrow.

Thank you,

Facilities Management Department
