We would like to inform you of a reoccurring phishing trend we have seen recently by someone impersonating an Adelphi employee.

The individual, disguised as an Adelphi member, will send an email that typically includes an inquiry to see if you are available, and, as the conversation continues, escalates into a request to buy iTunes gift cards.

For any email that you suspect to be phishing, your first step should always be to reach out to Adelphi IT, either by notifying the Help Desk at helpdesk@adelphi.edu or 516.877.3340, or forwarding the email to Information Security at abuse@adelphi.edu for investigation.

Learn more about protecting yourself from phishing attacks or any other security concerns in the information security section on the Adelphi IT site.
