On June 21, the New York State Assembly and the Senate unanimously passed the Nonprofit Revitalization Act. The Act includes substantial reforms that will cut red tape while enhancing governance and oversight of nonprofits. The Act is a product of over two years’ work by New York State Attorney General Eric T. Schneiderman’s office and the statewide Leadership Committee on Nonprofit Revitalization. Center Director, Ann Marie Thigpen served on the Leadership Committee for Nonprofit Revitalization.
