Student Worker of the Month for July 2013

Jason has been working with Adelphi IT since Fall 2011 and is a a valuable part of the Help Desk Team as an Assistant and Lab Consultant..

Jason is majoring in Graphic Design and expects to graduate in 2015. He is president of the Men’s Soccer Club and won the 2013 Campus Recreation MVP Award for intramural soccer.

Here are some of the comments we received from IT staff members and other student workers who nominated Jason:

“Jason goes above and beyond to get to know all of the student workers and make himself known to the department. He introduced himself immediately to our staff of us and always goes out of his way to say hello when he passes our desks. I believe that he portrays excellent customer service and for that he deserves recognition.”

 “Jason is very friendly, warm and welcoming. His customer service skills go beyond expectations. He works very hard and is a pleasant to have around the office and Help Desk.”

“Jason always comes to work with a smile on his face. He is always eager to work and do the best he can at any task he is working on. He always brings a positive attitude to the IT environment.”

“Jason constantly goes out of his way to say hello and is always willing to help out with anything that we need. He made sure to introduce himself to each of us and demonstrates great communication skills which deserve to be recognized.”

About IT’s Employee of the Month Nominations

It is important to demonstrate our appreciation for the contributions of our student workers to their teams, to the Office of Information Technology, and to Adelphi University as a whole. At the end of each month, we will honor one student worker who has demonstrated commitment, leadership, and initiative in their position. The recipient will be presented with a certificate and gift, as well as a featured spot on our IT website.

All IT employees (including student workers) are encouraged to submit nominations for their choice for Student Worker of the Month. Your nominee should display qualities deserving of recognition.
