The Information Technology team at Adelphi has been hard at work over the last few months working on the newest update for the AU2Go app, among many other projects.

On Wednesday, August 31, the IT team held a demo event and Panther Sprint competition to raise awareness of  the new features of version 3.0 of the app, as well as give students the opportunity to win some great prizes. Members of the Adelphi community were able to learn about the newest features of AU2Go such as personal notifications and customization options. They also were able to play Panther Sprint on a big screen TV and take pictures in a photo booth using props modeled after Panther Pride stickers in the AU2Go app.

Students were playing Panther Sprint until the closing minutes of the event, which made for a suspenseful outcome. In the end, the three students who took home the prizes for having the top scores were: Charles Beach (187), Erica Novak (181) and Rebecca Gotterbarn (154). They were not the only winners of the day as Brianna Thomas and Carolina Martinez were the randomly selected to win an Android or Apple wearble for having personal notifications enabled on AU2Go.

Overall the event was a roaring success as students, faculty and staff all came to learn about what AU2Go has to offer, and were able to have a great time. Downloads of AU2Go spiked after the event, as did the number of students who signed up for personal push notifications. Thank you to everyone who came and helped make the event successful.

If you haven’t downloaded AU2Go and/or enabled personal push notifications make sure to do so today:
