The 2012 winner of the National Book Award for Nonfiction will be read by all incoming freshmen.
Katherine Boo’s masterpiece Behind the Beautiful Forevers has been selected as the Adelphi Reads and First Year Student Common Reading Book. All first year students participate in the First Year Reading Program, which aims to educate students about global issues and help them develop an understanding of the nature and value of human diversity.
