Adelphi alumni are doing big things in their fields, and notable publications like Forbes and the Washington Post are taking notice.

Forbes featured alumna Eileen McDonnell, M.B.A.’88, in a story in which McDonnell, the CEO of the Penn Mutual Life Insurance Company, discusses how, throughout her career, her gender never stood in her way in a male dominated field. “Call me naive, but when people brought my gender to my attention, I didn’t buy into it. I pointed out it was about my ability and what I can do,” said McDonnell.

The Washington Post highlighted Kendra Sarris, B.A. ’05, M.A. ’06, a kindergarten teacher at Accokeek Academy, in a story addressing that educators nationwide are increasingly using tests to measure kindergartners’ knowledge in certain areas, assessing their needs as they move into the nation’s K-12 public school system.

In the recent Rodale News article, “Your Zero-Dollar Home Gym,” you can find Elizabeth (Di Rico) Davis, B.S. ’07, M.A. ’08, a professional trainer and exercise psychologist, showing readers just how easy it is to create your own gym with items you already have at home.
