What:

Two dynamic artists join Associate Professor of Music Christopher Lyndon-Gee and the Adelphi Symphony Orchestra in this remarkable program. Soyeon Kate Lee, winner of the prestigious 2010 Naumberg International Piano Competition, is the soloist in Benjamin Britten’s Piano Concerto in D, celebrating the centennial year of the composer’s birth. Renowned soprano and Adelphi Adjunct Darla Diltz is the soloist in Henryk Górecki’s powerful Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of Sorrowful Songs). The concert opens with Rimksy-Korsakov’s brilliant Russian Easter Festival Overture.
