Printing and Scanning
Information for students about printing and scanning services at Adelphi University Libraries.
In an effort to promote a green campus Adelphi University has established a printing policy to reduce paper and ink use.
Printing
Printing Costs
Users will be prompted by a pop-up requesting their username and password and be notified of their printing account status (400 copies per semester).
- Five cents ($0.05) is deducted for each black and white page printed.
- When printing double-sided, ten cents ($0.10) is charged per page.
- Color printing is available (“color printer 1”, “color printer 2”) at a cost of seventy-five cents ($0.75) per page.

Printing from Microforms
Please consult User Services staff at the Single Service Point near the entrance of the library for assistance.
Mobile Printing
Swirbul Library supports mobile printing with several printers that users can connect with to submit print jobs. For more information about mobile printing and access to mobile printers, please consult the Mobile Printing guide on the Technology Service Catalog.
Scanning
The Libraries offer scanning of documents at no cost to the user. Patrons may scan materials at designated printers on the first floor of the library after entering their username and password on the printer. Scans can be saved in various formats and sent directly to the user’s Google Drive for immediate access.
