Panther Pathway to Student Success Program

Adelphi University’s Panther Pathway to Student Success is a four-day summer program that helps high school students build the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed in college. Participants learn directly from Adelphi faculty, staff, and students while experiencing life on our Garden City, NY campus.

A Summer Experience for Future College Students

Panther Pathway combines academic preparation with personal growth. Through interactive workshops and small-group sessions, students explore what college is really like and develop strategies to make a strong start in higher education.

Strengthen the Skills Colleges Value

The Panther Pathway to Student Success program helps students strengthen academic and personal skills through sessions on:

• Writing a standout college essay
• Managing time effectively
• Building a strong resume
• Understanding financial aid and budgeting
• Communicating with confidence
• Finding balance and wellness

Students also meet mentors, gain insight into navigating challenges, and experience what it’s like to live in a residence hall and eat in campus dining spaces.

Eligibility and How to Apply

Panther Pathway is open to rising high school seniors in good academic standing. Students may be nominated by a teacher, counselor, or community leader—or they can nominate themselves.

Please submit the nomination form before May 16, 2025.

Program Benefits

Panther Pathway participants gain a deeper understanding of college preparation and receive the following benefits:

1. Application fee waiver when applying to Adelphi University.
2. Adelphi Advantage Award, a $1,000 annual scholarship for students in the Panther Pathway Program (stackable with other scholarships and grants).

This summer experience helps students enter their senior year with direction, motivation and the confidence to pursue a college degree.
