Date & Time: October 15 12:00pm – 1:00pm
Location: Swirbul Library, Innovation Center

Students will learn how to effectively and responsible use AI for research projects.

During the workshop you will learn how AI should provide responsible assistance for researching background information, search terms, and topic exploration rather than replacing library databases and your own critical thinking.

We will also discuss how to uphold academic integrity by avoiding plagiarism and properly citing AI using current MLA, APA, and Chicago guidelines. A key takeaway is an AI usage checklist that aligns with Adelphi’s guidelines and when to consult a librarian for support.

This event is part of the SPARK center seminar series. Organized in collaboration with stemkoski@adelphi.edu and innovationcenter@adelphi.edu.
