Speaker Bio
Marissa Abram, PhD

Dr. Marissa Abram is a psychiatric nurse practitioner and Assistant Professor in the Duke University School of Nursing. She leads the Compassionate Addiction Research and Education (CARE) initiative and is a nationally recognized educator and speaker on mental health, addiction, and trauma-informed care. Her work focuses on empowering healthcare professionals and students to address mental health challenges with compassion and evidence-based strategies.
