In his song Isis Bob Dylan captures the paradox of enduring relationships:
What drives me to you is what drives me insane.”
Bob Dylan album Desire. January 1976

The simplicity of these ten words eloquently sums up the complexity of the relationship dynamics that make couple therapy one of the more challenging forms of treatment. At the Adelphi University Postgraduate Program in Couple Therapy we provide grounding in the theory and practice of couple psychotherapy through our Continuing Education and Professional Development Series.

If you are a mental health professional and are licensed or license-eligible in your state, our seminars are the next step in establishing yourself as an expert in the field of couple psychotherapy. No prior experience treating couples is required.

  • Create your own postgraduate learning experience with a diverse selection of advanced training opportunities.
  • Sharpen and refine your clinical skills and theoretical understanding of couple therapy.
  • Study with faculty who are at the forefront of current scholarly and clinical practice.
  • Increase your knowledge in order to maintain clinical flexibility and value.
  • Choose seminars focused on your professional interests.
  • Pursue your education at your own pace.
