Date & Time: February 9–28 9:00am – 5:00pm
Location: Swirbul Library, Gallery

An exhibition in the Swirbul Library Gallery featuring student landscape paintings.

The exhibition is on view from February 9 to February 28.

Opening Reception: Wednesday, February 11th, 4-6pm.

This exhibition presents a selection of student paintings developed through on-site observation during Fall 2025 class field trips.

Students visited nearby locations and explored landscape painting through the traditions of alla prima and plein air practice, responding directly to the changing light, atmosphere, and sense of place at each site. Students also worked independently, using personally chosen landscapes and/or photographic references. Locations visited include Old Westbury Gardens, Planting Fields Gardens, Sands Point Preserve, and the DUMBO Brooklyn Waterfront.
