A moderated panel discussion will feature, faculty, staff and different generations of elders, young adults and students about their hair care journey. This discussion will uplift the voices of the experiences within the natural hair community.

The Jovia Mentoring Program of the Office of Diversity Equity, Inclusion and Belonging and Black Students United (BSU) presents Kinky, Coily, Wavy Hair Panel featuring students and staff.

  • The natural hair movement
  • The natural hair journey
  • Natural hair in the workplace – the Crown Act
  • Standards of beauty for people of color – who defines this and how?

Open to all Adelphi community members, the general public, and all hair types.
