Kellyann Monaghan Solo Exhibition: Land, Sea and Sky
Event Actions
The exhibition will feature a selection of small plein-air and studio paintings created over the past two years, plus including larger studio works completed during Professor Kellyann Monaghan’s spring 2025 sabbatical.
The paintings capture the sweeping landscapes of California’s National Parks—Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and the coastal Big Sur region—as well as the coastal areas of Cape Cod.
Professor Monaghan’s work explores the beauty and power of these landscapes while reflecting on the impacts of climate change. Her most recent paintings also delve into the depiction of unusual light phenomena in nature, expanding the scope of her environmental landscapes.
