Celebrate Adelphi University becoming an official Sunflower Program Campus!

A sunflower blooms to the sun

Adelphi University is now an official Sunflower Lanyard Program campus—a global symbol supporting individuals with non-visible disabilities. This initiative is led by the Adelphi Disability Advocacy Group (ADAG), a student organization dedicated to raising awareness, fostering inclusion and building community for students with disabilities and allies. ADAG is sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

Join ADAG for a reception open to all to learn more about the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower on Adelphi’s campus! Hear from ADAG President Paulette Leune, Vice President Jace Savalli and fellow members about how students can get involved and help advance disability advocacy on campus.

All in the Adelphi community are welcome.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Chotsani Williams West, EdD, at 516.877.3182 or email either cwest@adelphi.edu or audiversity@adelphi.edu.
