Film Screening: Selected Faculty Works from the Communication Department Regarding Social Justice and Voting Rights

The Communication Department presents three films made by current faculty members addressing issues surrounding social justice and voting rights in our country.
The screening will be presented on Kast by the Communications Department and the Friday Night Flicks Club.
- Professor Terrence Ross presents When The Sun Came For Them a film about interviews on ancestors with members of the Sahrawi tribe of nomads who have been confined to a UN refugee camp for the last 50 years.
- Adjunct professor Tamika Guishard presents Wounded::Sovereign a film on Native American Treaty Rights Activism.
- Academy Award-Winning Filmmaker and Professor Joan Stein with Professor John Drew present Saeed an award-winning film about a Syrian family who has recently resettled on Long Island and is dealing with the aftermath of war and personal tragedy.
