Join us for a once-in-a-lifetime eco-volunteer adventure on Isabela Island.
Highlights include a visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station, biking to the Wall of Tears, exploring lava tunnels, and a boat trip to the dramatic landscapes of Los Tuneles. You’ll take part in meaningful service-learning projects while exploring one of the most extraordinary ecosystems on Earth.
Tentative Itinerary
January 3-11, 2026 – Please keep January 2 and January 12 open for possible travel days.
The trip itinerary is subject to change.
- Day 1 (Saturday): Travel to Guayaquil, overnight on Ecuador mainland
- Day 2 (Sunday): Travel Guayaquil → Santa Cruz (Galápagos), visit Charles Darwin Research Station
- Day 3 (Monday): Travel Santa Cruz → Isabela, Highlands (tortoises in the wild, lava tunnel)
- Day 4 (Tuesday): Orientation, Wall of Tears (bike/hike in coastal ecosystems)
- Day 5 (Wednesday): Service-learning volunteer project
- Day 6 (Thursday): Service-learning volunteer project
- Day 7 (Friday): Los Tuneles boat trip (lava/ocean moonscape)
- Day 8 (Saturday): Travel Isabela → Guayaquil, overnight on Ecuador mainland
- Day 9 (Sunday): Return home
Payment Schedule
Total Program Cost: $2900
- Deposit: $1,200 (required to reserve your spot; first come, first served)
- Payment 2: $600 due October 1
- Payment 3: $600 due November 1
- Payment 4: $500 due December 1
All payments are non-refundable.

Eligibility Requirements
- Valid passport (expiring after July 2026) in your current possession (required at the time of deposit)
- Clean student conduct record
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
- Must be a current Adelphi student or an incoming first-year student registered for classes
