Working with parents who are at their wits end can be a challenge, especially when their child needs their attention and connection. The workshop is for counselors and therapists that are looking for effective ways to work with families with burnt out parents experiencing blocked care.
Overview
You will learn about blocked care and parental burnout and its impact on children and their attachment. You will learn and practice play therapy interventions to help support parents and foster healthy connection between children and their caregivers. These playful interventions will be great for families who have not had results with more traditional parenting advice and behavioral treatments. This training is beneficial for therapists working with children of varying ages with big behaviors.Â

Jasmine Berger, LCSW-Registered Play Therapist
Jasmine Berger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Play Therapist. Jasmine worked in community mental health and as a school social worker, before starting Bud to Bloom Play Therapy. She specializes in working with children with trauma, attachment disruptions and big behaviors. She is a Foundational Theraplay Practitioner and enjoys helping families learn to connect.
Credentialing Information
To receive approved continuing education credits, participants must attend the entire training or workshop and submit a completed evaluation form.
Unfortunately, we cannot provide refunds for cancellations made seven working days or fewer before the event for any reason—or for no-shows. We can provide credit towards a future workshop up to 24 hours before the event. After that, no credit will be issued.
