Date & Time: April 16 11:00am – 12:00pm
Location: Virtual

In this hands-on workshop, participants will experiment with different AI platforms and tools geared toward scholars and learn some best practices for their evaluation and use.

  • Which AI platforms are best for conducting academic research and how do you evaluate them given your subject and methodology?
  • How can AI tools help with different stages of the research process, from data collection and literature reviews to analysis and argumentation?

Each of the following will be covered and compared:

  • Perplexity Academic
  • Google Gemini
  • Anthropic’s Claude
  • ResearchRabbit

This workshop is open to the entire Adephi University community, and no prior knowledge of AI platforms is required. Students, faculty and staff are all welcome!

Attendees are encouraged to create free accounts with Perplexity, Claude, and ResearchRabbit in advance of the session. Adelphi has an enterprise subscription to Google Gemini, meaning everyone can log in using their Adelphi email address.

For any questions, please contact Professor Christopher Barnes at cbarnes@adelphi.edu.

This event is sponsored by Adelphi University Libraries.
