Official Adelphi University social media accounts represent the University. Registering your account with our Social Media Department is required in order to post on social media.

After submitting your application, please allow for up to two weeks for review, after which, Adelphi’s Social Media Department will reach out to you with feedback or to set up a meeting to discuss the strategy and plan for content before an account can be created as per the Adelphi University social media policy.

Adelphi will only allow for departments/teams to apply for one account or new platform at a time.

If a platform is not available for selection, Adelphi does not allow for the creation of an account on that platform at that time. Currently, Adelphi does not allow the creation of any Adelphi-affiliated TikTok accounts. If you wish to create and/or share content for TikTok, please email your ideas and/or video to social@adelphi.edu for consideration for inclusion on Adelphi’s official TikTok page.

Account Information

For internal purposes only - All Adelphi University social media accounts should be created with a shared, institutional email address (ie social@adelphi.edu) to ensure the account is not tied to a specific individual. This ensures continued access to an account in the event an individual is no longer a part of the University.
Provide a list of goals for the proposed account as well as how social media will help you achieve these goals. These goals should be specific to your department and should not include generally bringing attention to an area. Please review our Getting Started with Social Media page.
