This course provides an emphasis on developing an understanding of trauma-informed care, the neuroscience of trauma, and trauma’s impact on an individual’s trauma history. Students will explore the symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of trauma-related dysfunction, the stages of recovery, the phases of treatment for complex trauma, and various treatment modalities.
