This course focuses on reading and research of selected topics in sociology, under the guidance of the faculty advisor.

Teaching Global Movements: By the end of the semester, the student will be able to: 1. Demonstrate an understanding of how to organize materials for a course syllabus. 2. Develop a course syllabus. 3. Integrate learning theory and practice into the design of the course syllabus. 4. Construct goals and expectations for students within a course syllabus. 5. Execute a class lecture. 6. Utilize a variety of current teaching techniques and methods to create a supportive and productive environment that promotes student interaction, problem-solving, and analytical thinking skills on global issues. 7. Analyze developmental issues as relating to the processes of globalization. 8. Describe the foundational components of global movements. 9. Develop teaching, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
