Join Dean Rudolph for a discussion of Robert Putnam’s Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community

Which organizations, projects, and activities will you pursue during this academic year? Do you really need to join a club? To discover one sociologist’s answer to this question, join Dean Rudolph in reading excerpts from Robert Putnam’s Bowling Alone: The Collapse and Revival of American Community, which we will discuss at the Honors College at a special teatime Dean’s Circle on September 8 at 1:00pm. This “instant classic” of social science has been foundational to our considerations of the role of associational life in American political culture.

Dean Nicole Rudolph leads a discussion with Honors College students at Adelphi University.

Honors College students will be sent a link for registration at the beginning of the Fall Semester.
