Policy and Practice: Developing Ethical AI Guidelines for Social Workers and Agencies
Event Actions
As artificial intelligence (AI) tools become increasingly accessible in social work, ethical and transparent use is critical to upholding core professional values.
This interactive training supports social workers, supervisors, and organizational leaders in developing AI policies across levels of practice—from individual use, in supervision between supervisee & supervisor, and to agency-wide integration. Participants will explore ethical considerations, create their own AI boundaries, co-develop policies through supervision, and build frameworks for client consent. The training emphasizes transparency, accountability, and cultural humility, providing actionable tools including templates and real-world case examples to guide AI policy development. Participants will be empowered to lead responsible AI integration in their social work settings.
