In the News: Adelphi Professor Maps the Sand Post-Sandy to Assess L.I.’s Future

Associate Professor Beth Christensen is part of a group of scientists that are mapping the sea floor around the Long Island coast in an attempt to find out where the sand and sediment of local beaches went after Hurricane Sandy, and whether it can be used to rebuild the coast’s defenses. These efforts were spotlighted by NPR and Newsday.
