Hands-On Learning for the School of Psychology
We bring you opportunities to learn and grow.
At Derner, we offer a wide range of clubs and organizations that foster growth and learning. Our community partnerships, clinical facilities and psychological services to the community are an extension of our commitment to excellence in psychology education.
Mentoring Future Psychologists
Culturally responsive mentoring for psychology students who identify as part of traditionally underserved groups.
Junior and senior undergraduate students and graduate psychology students can consult a faculty member about undertaking an independent study.
Research opportunities include assistantships, field placement, and the Emerging Scholars program where undergraduate students conduct original research.
Graduate assistantships provide students with aid in the form of tuition remission.
The undergraduate internship program at the Derner School of Psychology is designed to provide practical experience for students looking to continue their studies at the graduate level.
The program will allow students to participate in teaching demonstrations, observe master lecturers and instructors and receive valuable feedback from faculty regarding their teaching styles and approaches.
Getting involved and making a difference.
