Reason for Policy
A university employee may move from one job to another through promotion (temporary or indefinite), transfer (temporary, indefinite, lateral, or voluntary), reassignment, detail, or demotion.

Policy
Approval from the Position Review committee must be obtained prior to changing an employee’s classification to full-time, part-time or hourly.

This policy does not have definitions associated with it at this time. Upon periodic policy review this area will be evaluated to determine if additional information is needed to supplement the policy.
Procedures
A Payroll Transaction Form must be submitted to the Office of Human Resources to change an employee’s classification. Changes to an employee’s classification (part-time to full-time; hourly to part-time, full-time to part-time, etc.) may only be made by approval of the Position Review Committee. Changes in classification from student to hourly or any other classification needs prior approval of the Office of Human Resources.
The Hiring Review Justification form must be completed and submitted to the applicable Executive Leadership member in order to be considered.
