Voicemail
Get instructions on how to set up and access your campus voicemail.
How to set up your voicemail:
- Press * # # to access your voicemail.
You will hear a tutorial begin to instruct you on how to set up your new voice mailbox. Please follow the instructions in the tutorial carefully. - You will be prompted to enter a temporary passcode.
- The tutorial will then prompt you to change the temporary passcode to another 4 to 15 digit code that only you will know.
- At this point, you can either create a new passcode OR enter the same voicemail passcode that you have used previously.
- The tutorial will prompt you to record your first and last name.
- Press 2 to record and press 2 when you want to stop recording.
- Press 6 if you would like to hear your recording.
- Press 5 to save or press 4 to record your name again.
- The tutorial will prompt you to record your personal greeting.
- Press 2 to record as well as 2 to stop recording.
- Press 6 if you would like to hear your recording.
- Press 5 to save or press 4 to record your greeting again.
- You will then hear “you are now ready to use your mailbox”
How to access your voicemail:
- From your Adelphi phone: Dial 3990. After system answers, enter your passcode.
- From other telephones (including off-campus): Dial 516.877.3990. After system answers, press #. Next, enter your extension number, then enter passcode when directed.

Important Key Commands:
1 – Listen to messages
7 – Delete message
9 – Save message
During playback of a voicemail message, you can skip to the end of the message by pressing 3 twice. You will then be prompted with the options to delete or save, as listed above. You cannot delete a message using the 7 button unless the message has been completed or skipped.
