Translating Activities to Online: Synchronous and Asynchronous
Event Actions
Teaching online involves translating in-person teaching to a mix of synchronous and asynchronous learning activities. Learn more at this faculty workshop.
This workshop will help faculty consider what teaching activities work best synchronously vs. asynchronously in their teaching practice. It also looks at methods for estimating the time that is involved in instructional activities, non-instructional time (i.e. ‘time on task’), so that online courses deliver a balance of instruction and application.
