La Espiritista (They/Goddexx) is a word conjurer, performance artist, and intuitive healer based out of Seattle. They are the author and creative director of “Butterfly: Una Transformación,” a collection of poetry that provides a spiritual framework around the process of inner transformation through four phases of metamorphosis: release. renewal. retreat. rebirth. The performance show and release event for the book was held at the historic Neptune Theatre.
Their experience of religious trauma has led them on a path of integration of the whole being and doing work around queer spirituality. They support individuals ignite and TRANSform energetic wounds through various healing modalities such as poetry, performance, spellwork, tarot readings, ritual altar work, meditations, and energy cleansings.
They also host spiritual and recovery spaces, currently facilitating QTIBIPOC sobriety in partnership with La Conextion, a space for QTIBIPOC who are sober and sober-curious that recognizes sustainable recovery must include ancestral healing, a harm-reduction approach, and acknowledges how addiction is a social justice issue rather than solely a personal defect.
