Adelphi’s Transgender Day of Remembrance is observed annually to memorialize those who were murdered due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice. It raises public awareness of hate crimes against transgender people and publicly mourns and honors the lives of transgender people who might otherwise be forgotten. We are honored to welcome back Zayn Silva as our special guest speaker. Zayn will read the names of those taken from us and lead an interactive discussion with all participants wishing to share personal reflections as well as how we can all look to a brighter future ahead.
