The show has completely switched the narrative by lending an unapologetic feministic perspective by King Henry’s wives.

For the first time, the story of Henry VIII is told through the eyes of the wives, rather than what history books have told us. The all-female cast is backed by an all-female band, Ladies in Waiting. The play uses head-banging music along with humorous, upbeat lyrics, to capture the spirit of the 16th Century women with 21st Century perspectives. Six the musical offers a unique and enthralling feminist take on six women who will forever stand out in history by tackling patriarchy, emotional abuse and tyranny. “Aside from its sense of humor and spirited radicalism (and the musical force of the intensely committed and talented actresses in the show), the greatest asset of “Six” is the way it understands a complex historiographical paradox.”
