This support group for students provides a space to discuss the ways in which the current racial/socio-political climate has impacted your mental health.

Facilitated by Student Counseling Center counselors, Lanaya Wade and Josh Altman, this group allows students to explore how your own experiences of power, privilege and racial injustice have affected your emotional health and shaped your identity. We’ll discuss how you can cope with these stressors in a healthy manner, while exploring the ways in which you can potentially effect change.

This group is open to all students. Registration is required. The group will only meet for 4 weeks and attendance is capped at 10 students per meeting. If the meeting you wish to attend is full, please email us to let us know that you are unable to log in, and we will help to facilitate your participation in the following week’s meeting. Please email: jaltman@adelphi.edu to receive the Zoom link.
