Date & Time: October 9, 2020 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Location: Virtual

Alumni and students are invited to join The Bridge Alumni Affinity Group in a moderated discussion with the creative team of Lincoln Center Theater Production Pass Over. This play is a combination of Waiting for Godot and the Exodus saga; Pass Over exposes the human spirit of young black men who dream about a promised land and their journey. We will be in conversation with the team on their inspiration and connection to this play, particularly within the context of the recent surge in Black Lives Matter.

The Creative Panel will include Obie Award winners Danya Taymor, Justin Ellington, and Sarafina Bush ’12, who were all awarded for their recent production of Hero’s of the Fourth Turning, and multi-nominated designers Wilson Chin (Dora Award winner) and Marcus Doshi (Audelco “Viv” Award winner). The discussion will be moderated by Brittany-Laurelle ’09 & Polina Minchuk Macklin ’12.

Attendees are invited to watch the Steppenwolf Theatre Company production of Pass Over filmed by Spike Lee on Amazon Prime prior to the panel discussion.

This interdisciplinary event is co-hosted by: The Bridge Alumni Affinity Group, The Performing Arts Center, The College of Arts & Sciences, The Honors College, The Office of Alumni Relations and The Department of Theatre.

This event will be hosted through Zoom. You will receive a participation link upon registration.
