The opioid epidemic is an unprecedented crisis. In NYS, there were 3,224 overdose deaths among residents in 2017. Besides the dramatic increase in the number of deaths identified in the past few years, this epidemic has devastated the lives of those with opioid use disorders (OUDs), along with their families and friends. But you can make a difference; you can save a life. Attend this training and learn the:

  • Ability to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose
  • Knowledge of how to administer the opioid overdose reversal drug Naloxone
  • The role of harm reduction in the overall opioid public health crisis solutions / action plan / strategy.

At the conclusion of the training, whether you take it in person or virtually, you’ll receive your own Narcan kit equipped with two Narcan nasal sprays. These trainings are usually very popular so please register right away. It’s free for all attendees!
