Online Academy: Instructor Facilitation (OA:IF)
Event Actions
FCPE is pleased to offer Online Academy: Instructor Facilitation (OA:IF).
The OA:IF, a companion to the Online Academy: Course Development program, will provide you with streamlined modules on how to best facilitate your online course. The training includes proven strategies to help you:
- Understand your online classroom and learners
- Engage your students
- Create a community and enhance participation
- Develop assessments and provide feedback
As teaching concepts, best practices, and regulations (and their practical applications) are introduced, participants will find that the tools and skills that are gained here can, in fact, be utilized for all modalities of instruction.
The Online Academy: Instructor Facilitation consists of short readings and videos, discussion forums, and two synchronous meetings. OA:IF is a 10-day self-paced program with approximately two to four hours of work per weekday. Weekly discussions are geared towards implementation of the strategies into your own courses, and to promote an exchange of ideas as a faculty learning community.
This Moodle-based program is open to all faculty; Online Academy: Course Development is not a prerequisite.
