Gaining Access to Authentic Native American Music in the 21st Century
This session will focus on how to find and implement Native American music into K through university classroom environments. The special federal standing of all United States tribes will be introduced. Differences between Canadian Indigenous groups and the Native Americans/Indigenous in the United States will be mentioned, and the main focus will be on United States Federally recognized tribal musics.
