Lean Awareness Part 1

Lean Awareness, designed for all employees of the university, is two (two-hour) concurrent workshops that cover the philosophy of Lean as well as some basic tools that attendees can use.
It is recommended that all faculty, staff, and administration take this course. Attendees of Lean Education for University Leadership are invited to participate in the second of the two workshops. Here are some of the topics that will be covered in this workshop:
- The Cost of Poor Quality
- Focus on the Process
- Lean Principles
- How Do You Define Value?
- What Is Flow?
The developer and facilitator of Adelphi University Lean Sigma Academy is Dr. Alan Cooper, Associate Dean, Willumstad School of Business. Alan has over 25 years of experience in the area of strategic organizational transformation, with a specific focus on organization development (OD), customer experience and change management.

Employees should sign up for both Part 1 and Part 2 in order to complete the Lean Series.
