Written in 1978, Kermit Frazier’s Kernel of Sanity examines the close if imbalanced relationship between a young African American actor and an older Caucasian actor with whom he had previously appeared in a production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Kernel of Sanity will be the inaugural presentation in Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Paula Vogel’s series “Bard at the Gate.” The cast features Adelphi alumnus Matthew Hancock ’10.
Directly following the online reading of Kernel of Sanity, playwright Kermit Frazier will join director Gregg Daniel and Paula Vogel to discuss the play and take questions from the audience.
