Join the Environmental Action Coalition in restoring our local environment! EAC is collaborating with ReWild Long Island and the Long Island Sierra Club chapter in order to remove invasive species and grow native plant species in Tanglewood Preserve. Invasive species are species that are not native to the local habitat, and because they did not evolve with local species they are able to outcompete and take over areas. The area we will be working is very accessible, and directly next to the paved pathway within the preserve. No plant or gardening experience neccessary, come help us restore our local green spaces!
EAC will be providing transportation from Adelphi to Tanglewood Preserve and back. Please RSVP to save your spot on the bus! Anyone commuting is welcome to meet us at the location anytime between 9am-11am.
