Greek Life & Social Fellowship Chapter Officer Crash Course
Event Actions
New chapter officers are invited for a crash course in Adelphi University policy and procedure as well as the new chapter accreditation program. Each chapter should plan to have their incoming president attend as well as additional officers as deemed necessary by the chapter. Please let Tommy Severin, Assistant Director of CSI, know who from your chapter will be attending so they can be added to the Hangout invite.
Some housekeeping items for joining virtual trainings:
-
A few minutes before the training begins, please make sure to click the link to join the training by finding the event via search on MyAULife. This will give you some time to navigate Hangouts, fix microphone/audio issues, etc. Troubleshoot some of these issues here: https://support.google.com/meet/answer/9303069?hl=en&ref_topic=7192926
-
Make sure your microphone is enabled. You can do this by clicking the microphone button on the bottom of your screen. If it’s off, the mic will have a line through it. If it’s on it will not. You should have your video turned off. This can be done by clicking the camera icon on the bottom right and making sure the line is through it.
-
It is recommended that you mute your microphone after testing to make sure it works in an effort to decrease background noise for the presenter.
-
You can ask questions two ways. One, verbally to the presenter or two by utilizing the chat function in Hangouts. Access the chat by going to the three dots on the top right of the call. The chat window will open on the bottom left of your screen. Type your question in. Please be aware everyone in the chat can see these questions. A CSI facilitator will read the questions asked, as presenters will not get question notification if presenting in another screen.
