FTA Gives Back: Mungai Foundation Fundraiser

The Future Teachers Association will be hosting a fundraiser during Adelphi Gives Back Month to raise money for the Mungai Foundation. The organization was founded by Dr. Mungai in memory of her daughter, Caroline, who was pursuing her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Adelphi. The foundation raises money to help build schools and provide education for students in Africa.

 

Mission Statement: to empower and equip disadvantaged children and youth to reach their destiny through: establishing and running Caroline homes and Caroline schools, providing academic grants for needy students, and various charitable deeds that enhance community advancements. 

 

With the pandemic, there have been hardships both socially and financially for the children. They have lost a lot in terms of education this past year. From March 1st to the 31st, you can use this link to donate to the foundation during these particularly difficult times of Covid-19. 

 

We encourage you to send this link to friends, family and whoever else would be able to donate. If a Non-Adelphi student would like to donate, they can click “Alumni/Friends/General Admission” under “Login/Register” and then register with your email address and create a password. When you get to checkout, make sure to include who the donation is “in honor of” to make sure it goes towards that member.
