Adelphi students perform a variety of great works from the Baroque through classical masters as well as contemporary works written for these specialized ensembles.

Linda Wetherill, director

Adelphi’s flute majors will perform an adventurous program ranging from classics of Beethoven and Couperin, to popular dances of Cuba set by Cervantes, including also Peter Schickele’s tribute to our planet’s fragile treasures. With Victoria Romano and Jazmyn Fuentes, flutists.

Dr. Jay Sorce, director

Join the Adelphi Guitar Ensemble, Monday December 26th at 7pm for a concert of classic and modern music for three guitars! The program will feature the fiery Libertango by Astor Piazzolla, the elegant Gavota-Choro from Suite Popular Brasileira by Heitor Villa-Lobos, and the powerful, social justice-inspired Beyond Ferguson by Thomas Flippin. Featuring guitarists Tyler Wilkens and William Jones.

Our priority is to ensure the safety of our patrons, artists, staff and the entire Adelphi community against COVID-19. We know that there is a great desire to come together and share the experience of live performance. The science of masks, vaccines, and tests will help make this happen.

Effective immediately, all audience members age 12 and over will be required to show proof that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Anyone under 12 or who is not fully vaccinated must show proof of a negative test taken within 72 hours of the performance. All guests regardless of age or vaccination status will be required to wear masks at all times while inside the Adelphi PAC.

In addition, capacity will be limited to 50% for many of our events.

These policies will remain in place at least through December 31, 2021 and are subject to change at any time. Feel free to contact the box office with any questions.
